What are your blogging goals?
When I ask this, I don’t mean statistics. I mean, what is the main, overall goal that you’re trying to accomplish with your blogging? Are you simply expressing yourself, and keeping a personal online journal of sorts? Are you trying to change the world? Are you trying to share your expertise on a particular subject? Maybe your goal is to get rich – there’s nothing wrong with that either.
The reason your goal is important is so you don’t forget about it. If you set out to change the world, how’s that coming along? If you’re making progress, then keep it up! If not, then do what you can to get back on track. It’s easy to get sidetracked with any goal, but especially blogging. You can lose so much time fiddling with your design, or counting your unique visitors every hour. There are just so many ways you can get off track – remember your goals and stick to them.

I am investigating starting a blog as a way for my high school class to stay in touch. I think the ability to post photos is highly desirable. any recommendations in this direction?
