The title is one of the most important, but also easily overlooked, part of a post.  If you don’t have a good title, the search engines will have trouble finding your posts, and that means they won’t get read.  One of the simple things you can do ( if you’re running Wordpress )  is install a brilliant plugin called Optimal Title, by ElasticDog.  Basically, what it does it take the default Wordpress title setup, which is

Blog Title >> Blog Post Title

and change it to

Blog Post Title >> Blog Title
This is important, because you want to emphasize the title of your individual post – that gives it a greater chance of showing up correctly in the search engines.  The better search engine placement you have, the more visitors you have.  And that is your goal, isn’t it?
