7 Tips to improve your Adsense earnings
- Blend your ads – ads that stick out are an eyesore, and can detract from your site’s content.
- Less is more. Just because you are allowed to put 3 ad units and one like unit on each page doesn’t mean you should. Too many ads are distracting
- Keep your writing focused. Since Adsense is contextual, it needs to know what you are writing about, so it knows what ads to serve.
- Experiment with ad formats. Adsense has many different shapes and sizes available for your ad blocks, so test then out! Some work better than others, and each site is different.
- Use channels. Channels allow you to see how each individual ad unit is performing. If one is doing poorly- adjust it.
- Be patient. Don’t change your ads because you had a bad day or two. Give it at least a few weeks.
- Follow Google’s rules. Nothing will Kill your Adsense earnings quicker than being banned.

“Keep your writing focused. Since Adsense is contextual, it needs to know what you are writing about, so it knows what ads to serve.”
I think that it is the most important. If you are writing about different topics then Adsense will get confused.

It’s really bad on my “fun” blog. I bounce between topics something awful, and poor Adsense doesn’t stand a chance. That site’s earnings show, too.

There are many ways to layout a page.
Having Ads infront of people’s faces is effective.

I forgot to say,
If you force people to see your ads it is really effective.
If you change the color of your ads – this is also effective.

Thannk you for sharing. I have been using adsense for almost a year now. The first 5 months my performance was really poor and I only managed a few dollars a month. About 6 months ago, I came across the adsense heat map and added positions based on the heat map. While I still don’t make a fortune from Adsense, atleast my earnings have gone up from $5 per month to about $60.
